We’re very excited to let you know that we are currently undergoing major renovations here at the Club, offering our members and guests an even better experience. We will remain fully operational throughout this journey, ensuring that you are still able to enjoy our facilities here at the Club, whilst we work behind the scenes, making it even better.
These refurbishments will include an optimised sporting atmosphere, premium beverage spaces, brand-new social areas and a brand-new dining outlet.
As we progress through these exciting times, we will be providing updates to our members, through our website, social media posts and of course you can always chat with our friendly team here at the club. We’ll keep you up to date with what’s going on.
We look forward to seeing these new spaces take shape and are very much looking forward to sharing the journey with our members and the local community.
Quarterly Update - June 2023
Board and Management are pleased to provide the following update.
This Quarter
- Completed extensive refurbishment design process. Features include:
- Updated new foyer and reception
- New café and seating area
- Modernised Bistro with new terrace eating area
- Contemporary gaming bar including alfresco gaming area
- Revamped lounge bar and additional sports bar
- Refurbished auditorium and function areas
- New children’s area and parents room including play equipment
- Modernised toilets
- Following a lengthy, mandatory process, fire certification has been granted which enables to tender process to continue
- Air conditioning upgrade tender evaluation is complete - announcement of the successful tenderer will be made in conjunction with the building and construction tender
- Building and construction - meetings took place with several potential tenderers and a preferred tenderer was chosen
- The bank declined to endorse the preferred tenderer, recommending approaching larger companies
- Acting on bank advice tender documentation has been provided to several larger companies
- Appointment of YSC Board member sub-committee to provide oversight of building works progress, working in conjunction with building site project management team

- Evaluation of building and construction tenders
- Presentations / discussions with tenderers
- Evaluation of responses
- Board recommendation to proceed
- Aim of awarding works and finalising contracts by the September quarterly update
- Timeline for the completion of works, including;
- Confirmation of phased refurbishment approach
- Emphasis on building while ensuring to provide services to members and guests
